Government Assessors accused for the loss of 2.4 billion

21740000_1612218015515211_6671824815996315463_n.jpgDiamond government assessors, Archard Kalugendo and Edward Rweyemam from the Ministry of Energy and Minerals have been brought to the Kisutu Magistrate's Court facing charges of causing a loss of  2.4 billion.

The prosecutors, who are the Assistant Evaluation and Mineral Director, have been charged before the Chief Justice, Respicious Mwijage and State Lawyer Paul Kadushi.



Kadushi claimed that between August 25 and 31, this year Dar es Salaam and Shinyanga areas being government evaluators resulted in a loss of US $ 1,118,291.43 equivalent to Shs 2,486,396,982.

Kadushi called the detective of the incomprehensible counsel asking for another date for reference.

Judge Mwijage said the prosecutors would not have to answer anything until the DPP decided to proceed in court or not.

He has also said the rules of law as the case is being considered by the Supreme Court so the lawyers will follow.
